Where can you find the best available copy of Dawn Of The Dead?

Does anybody know whether the dutch version of Dawn of the Dead is a BBFC approved version? Or Uncut?

For now, the Dutch version is the best version there is. It is uncut, and features two cuts of the film - the director's cut and the version Dario Argento cut for Europe.

There are quite a few extras, including some theatrical trailers, TV spots, a documentary etc.

Disc 1 is widescreen, but Disc 2 is pan and scan. The picture quality isn't that great though on either of them. There are just nine chapter stops on each disc.

There is a DVD Times review of this Dutch Filmworks disc here (http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/index.cgi?page=Review&id=43). :)

Ummm just to say ... please note that in my review I do state that the Director's cut isn't really a director's cut (it's a first cut shown at Cannes).

George Romero's final cut isn't on the Dutch Filmworks set... Anchor Bay have done a passable release of this and the review on DVDTimes is here...

Also note that in the Dutch Filmworks 2-disc set review I fail to mention that the Document of the Dead extra is not the full documentary (it's only 60-minutes as opposed to the full-length 84-minute version).... Which reminds me I must update that review :)

I own the Dutch 2-disc and the Anchor Bay U.S. disc at the moment...

I fully expect to fork out again for the 3-disc edition :)
