I've already got a set of Aegis speakers for a 6.1 system, but they're not practical to have around the front room with my, soon to be 2 year old, so the missus has asked me about getting some smaller, preferably wall mountable speakers. She's suggested the Bose Acoustimass gear from previous experience, but I still think they're overpriced and overrated for what they are (I have heard them in a showroom before).

Does anyone have any suggestions for a set of small speakers I can use, with wireless rears if possible, but that isn't a deal breaker as I figured out how to run wire to the rears without the little 'un getting near that too.

Do not get teh Bose, as you say they are over priced and under quality.

Look at something like the Tannoy EFX if on a budget (can easily get the extra single speakers for 6.1/7.1 if needed), or maybe the latest Kef eggs or the Mission M Cube's, or at the higher enf the Tannoy Arena's are good but very expensive.

For some reason the missus reckons the M Cubes are ugly when compared to the Bose cubes! Have been recommended to look at the Acoustic Energy Aego T 5.1 system as I could use my two Aegis centres to expand the system to 6.1 without any extra expense. Cheapest I've found for the M Cubes and Aego T is £599, which is comparable to the Bose AM6. Given I'll probably end up coughing for the stuff, the Aego T would be my current choice.

Yeah, they are good too from what I've seen.
