11-0

Women's football has come a long way but it still has a way to go before it is really worth watching. As fun as they are scores like that do not help the cause.

In the scheme of things, probably no more detrimental than:

Australia 91 - 3 Japan

... at the rugby.

Good point. I suppose the same could be said of the Cricket World Cup where Australia trounced everyone making it a non event.

Anyone watching this?

It's 0-0 in the England v's Japan game so far, Aluko should've scored but I've never really rated her so it didn't surprise me that she missed an open goal from an acute-ish angle.

They just showed the hightlights of Germany's 11-0 win over Argentina. The poor Argie keeper palmed both the first and last into her own net from corners!!!

I am watching it online at work and despite my reservations about Women's football I have to say this quite exciting. :suspect:

2-2, they equalised with the last kick of the match. Great free kick mind....

God watching England women in a tournament is jsut as frustrating as watching the men!! Maybe its time we all found a differnt national sport to follow.

England are playing Germany at the mo.

Good to see that the womens' keepers are still good comedy value....

From BBC Sport text commo:

1308: A bizarre header from the Germany keeper Nadine Angerer almost ends up in her own net.

Watched the highlights yesterday after MOTD....although some of the games remind me of the standard I use to play at :suspect:

Have to say I was impressed by a few norweigen and danish players who were smacking in some lovely long range shots. The Australia goal wasn't too bad yesterday, but I did have to laugh at some of the comedy of errors that lead to goals for some of the other games.

Shoddy marking, a good stike and a disaster keeper error.

Shame after that first half performance :(

Dunno if anyone else watched it but The Women's Final was absolutely brilliant. Brazil definitely deserved something out of it. Their ball control is so great that Germany didn't see any of the ball in the 2nd half. Shame they couldn't convert the penalty. Jammy Germans though.
