Just had a new PC, with Vista, and have found that the old MS RAW viewer is not compatible with Vista  Anyone recommend a RAW viewer. I've Googled and have found a few, but wondered if anyone can recommend one.

What camera?
Canon have a raw codec plugin for vista available to download, as do Nikon I think.

Canon 20D - .CR2 files.
I'll have a look myself, but if you've got a link, please post.

Yep. Thanks. Found it myself, copied the link, installed it and rebooted and lost the link again!! So had to look for it again. Come back here to post it, and you'd already done it. Anyway, thanks again Rob.

Doesn't Vista come with built in RAW support? I thought the MS one was going to be part of the OS.

It was going to but the camera makers didnt get their arses in gear and make the codecs, this you have to go add them later.
So the OS supports raw viewing in explorer etc, but with the right codec installed.
Thanks for this. Is there any way to flick off the RAW showing of thumbnails? Sometimes when processing I like to go through the phots and its difficult to see the jpg from the raw.
has anyone seen raw viewers for vista 64bit? (for 350d) the link above only seems to be 32bit :(
