Ipod Nano 4 GB only 79 pounds delivered
I know the new generation are coming out shortly - but this is the cheapest I have found.
at AMAZON - Nano 4 GB (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/redirect-home?tag=thedvdforums-21&site=dvd)
You can pick up instore from Comet (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.awin1.com/awclick.php?mid=157&id=30372&p=http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/product.do?sku=357421&cm_ven=Kelkoo&cm_cat=Feed&cm_pla=iPod__MP3&cm_ite=357421_APPLE_IPOD_NANO_4GB_GREEN&cm_ven=Affiliatewindow&cm_cat=Affiliate&cm_pla=Affiliate&cm_ite=Affiliate) for the same price.
Thanks I have already ordered one from Amazon but good to see the highstreet keeping up.
The prices have dropped by about 30 pounds due to the soon to be launcged next generation.
At only £10 more than a 2 GB it seems to be a good (ish) deal
The daughter wants one for her birthday and it had to be the green.
Local HMV had the same prices yesterday too, so it looks like the new RRP - the 8gb is now just 109.
When can we see the new models in stores?
Should be able to now I think. They where announced on Wednesday and said they would be instore by the weekend IIRC.
Thats mad, the prices re even better than the ones they have in the refurb store, well when you add the VAT

Has anyone seen any of the new range in any shop other than an Apple Store UK (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://clkuk.tradedoubler.com/click?p(2554)a(60823)g(32244))?

cheers - replaced my gf's stolen ipod. Got £15 off through amazon by signing up to the DVD rental thing. It says I can cancel subscription at any time, so most i'll pay is £3.99 even if they charge me for 1 month. So £11 off is not bad!

Are you sure about that? In my experience being an Amazon renter only gives you discount on DVDs...
..or was there some kind of £15 offer I didn't notice?

It popped up as I was buying the Ipod, just before the confirm payment step. I read it carefully and basically at thebottom it said I could cancel at anytime - all I had to do was click "yes sign me up now". Then when I confirmed my purchase it took £15 off my basket (the ex vat total) making the total inclusive of VAT being £61.
I dunno , maybe it was an offer they have popping up in certain flagged accounts for people they reckon will rent a lot of DVD's?
All I know is I got £15 off the ipod, so im well chuffed!!
do the nanos have the same connector as the old mini? I have one connected to my car stereo, and its begining to die so might be a good time to switch!

Yes it works. I tried it with the Sennheiser earphones and posted about in that thread...wish i'd used it for this Nano now :(
You literally just need to sign up for it, the money will automatically be discounted. Then you just goto the Amazon account, cancel the sub (make sure you don't add any rentals either), and then send support a message asking for a refund.
So I ended up getting the Earphones for £4.30ish delivered - the £3.99 was refunded within days

Sorry for quoting myself but I got a reply and they are refunding me the £10 differance. :)
they've dropped most of them to around £75.60
Gonna email and get the difference refunded.
Local comet had the 5.5G 30GB Black iPods for £149 and the 80GB 5.5 Black iPods for £159 today. Tenner more for 50GB, I wonder!!
Not much point buying an old one though unless it's a real bargain. Will bag a new 80GB Classic on Friday for my birthday!

£51.37 for a 4GB Nano seems a real bargain to me mate ;)
Does anywhere on the high street price match amazon?
