I'm guessing that since this is a documentary, that all regions are the same but can anyone offer an opinion on the Region 4 boxset of The World At War?
EzyDVD have it for a cracking £58 or thereabouts which is almost 40% off the UK selling price.
Should I take the plunge?

If you want this series, get the R4 box while it's on special. To the best of my knowledge it's identical to the R2 box in all respects bar the design of the case spines (coloured wrap-around from the cover design, as opposed to R2's slightly more bookish-looking black'n'silver spines)

The only thing to bear in mind is does it include postage and it might stand a chance of getting "Customised-££££"
I got mine from DVD Boxoffice for £59.00, no postage and no customs......

Mike, since you have the R1 version is the running time different to the R2 version. I ask because the R2 is listed on sites as being 1920 mins and R1's have a running time of about 1300 mins.
Are there any episodes missing on the R1.

For me this is the best documentary ever made, and the music still send goosebumps down my arms.
Interesting fact mentioned in the "Making Of", it's never been off TV in the States since it was first shown in the '70's.
Cheers Mike, R1 it is then.
