If so - what did you think?
It gets released today and I quite fancy watching a spooky scary sort of a filum - so, is it a load of old pony, or worth watching?
well, the Metro (London's freebie newspaper) was quite cutting - crap basically! It's got Matthew from Eastenders in FFS!
Not very helpful I know, but the vast majority of opinions I've heard is that it's pretty poop - I would normally want to check things out for myself but I'm giving this one a miss....

good sign that the movie is going downhill.
on the postcard thing, they had the quote:
''Makes Jeepers Creepers look like the Tweenies''
..now i'm really scared and get traumatised by watching the tweenies so It must be utter EDITE !

Went to see this in the end - it ain't brilliant by any stretch of the imagination, but it's OK all the same.
A fair few plot holes/things not explained and they try to jump into the suspense/scare tactitcs far too early in the movie - it'll be quite, they'll be sat talking and QUICK - WHACK ON SOME SCARY MUSIC  !!!!!!!11111!!
A young cast of relative unknowns and a first-time director do a decent job of what materials they've got - like I say, not too bad and I don't regret seeing it - if there's nothing else on and you're desperate to see a film you could do a lot worse, put it that way :)
Saw this last night. Wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be - the girlfriend wanted to see it so I got dragged along. All the obvious horror/thriller clichés, i.e. sets & locations, music, "don't go off by yourself in the dark", "don't work out who did it and try to tell someone, as you will be next to die" and so on and so forth. I thought it slowed down in the middle and then it seemed rushed at the end. The plot wasn't to bitty, it was all fairly self explanetary. A few good jumpy momments but the high pitched string suspense music started getting a bit annoying towards the end.

I'd agree about the rushed finish - I can't help but think there must have been a few deleted scenes that we might see re-introduced on a DVD release - people seemed to jump from one place to another with no explanation as to why they got there.
I thought one nice scene was when
Webster (the American guy) was going up the stairs in the house, flicking on lights as he went, only to see the lights being switched off from the outsided perspsective of the house as the demon went after him
I also found it a bit dodgy that:
The police didn't seem overly active in what was going on - a load of people are getting bumped off in mysterious circumstances, but the police never bothered to turn up and interview the remaining people
But on a plus point :
I didn't know who the killer would actually be until they were revelead at the end
I wanted to know who the director/actors had been in the film, but as usual it was a case of 'Right, the credits have started, so I MUST get out of the cinema as quickly as possible' as people were falling over themselves trying to get out
If this came out on DVD for just over a tenner, with a few decent extras, I may well buy it - good fun with some scary/tense scenes :)

I watched it today, didn't think much of it. Way too many scenes of daft people wandering around dark rooms waiting to be killed. Also they could have given the characters some personality so you cared a little bit whether they lived or died.
I did like the idea of the demon first appearing at a nightclub. Maybe the music reminded it of hell. ;)

Had the misfortune of seeing this last week, maybe because i was planning to see something else I dunno but I really didnt like this film. All the characters were so annoying!!!
Though its good to see that Matthew from Eastenders tried this insted of a post soap pop career!
saw this last night, what a steaming pile!!! it was really really pathetic, bored me to bits really. We only saw it cos the Vanilla Sky preview was sold out.
Damn damn eastenders boy
Utter rubbish. Avoid at all costs, unless you loved 51st State and Mean Machine. Fans of those two flicks seem to like it!
just watched it tonight, its not that bad...could have done with a bit more violence in it though, it was a bit slow...

You didn't? How could you not? They tell you right at the begining!
It was the demon! Okay he posessed someone but it didn't really make a difference who it was. I didn't even realise he had, I just thought he was some mystic force. If he possessed someone you would have seen feet or something
For the record jeepers creepers was a very bad film but this was worse. They're both similar films but there was some interesting bits at the start of JC but the whole of LTD seemed like an extend version of a bad episode of eastenders. As the guardian critic said, the only scary thing is the amount of lottery cash wasted on this.
FYI I also went to see something else and saw this because a friend (with generally bad taste) chose it when the other film wasn't on. It was either that or a film with ray winstone and I already know that would be [explitive deleted]

I thought this was pleasnantly good! Loads of times it made me jump but it should be applauded for being a british film that:
a) isnt about gangsters
b) isnt a 'comedy' about some people who have no money, (this one is typically used to tell the rest of the world that anyone not living in London is poor.
Forget the similarities with Jeepers Creepers though. This is one film worth watching. It doesent 'cheat' the viewer like Creepers does. That film builds upto something remarkable, then the screenwriters run out of ideas and (i'm sure) started to watch Buffy the vampire slayer to get an idea to finish the film off.
But this film is more cohesive in my opinion, although a bad bit of editing lets it down. I quite enjoyed it and as I said before, a nice pleasant suprise.
I don't think they ran out of ideas on Jeepers creepers. They wrote 20 minutes of the film then decided that they'd just write a completly different film for the rest of the duration. I don't think the editing was bad and if they had used buffy for inspiration they'd have ended up with a smart, funny and well written film.
As for LTD, appluad it if you like but if all you can say about a film is that it's not about gangsters or a comedy then that's not very much at all. The film was awful and I hate awful films. I don't care if it's a gangster film or comedy or whatever if it's good but this wasn't.
