Went off in the first few minutes tonight with a suspected broken leg!
Well I reckon he's the most overated player ever.
I think Darren Anderton might run him close but for current Premier League players then he has to be.
no
Saha.
they called him Mr Glass.

Did Lee Bowyer do it?

Did he not hold a record for the most appearances for the Spurz?
Owen? (only plays for england)
Kewell? (only plays in champions league finals)
he's certainly in the top tier but there are certainly contenders for the crown.
To be fair to Dyer, it appears he was playing in one of the cursed positions this year ...... be scared if you are asked to play right midfield for West Ham, first Faubert, then Ljungberg and now Dyer.
The only one who stays firm is Lee ******* Bowyer .......... great :|

Cisse has glass-legs too.
Djibril Cisse recovered both times very quickly to be fair.
It's now a double break. Ouch!

At least he will be able to bling his cast up with diamonds...chamone!
Knowing Dyer, it was only a single fracture at the ground, and he sneezed when he was in the ambulance and popped the other bone too.
Is he not just unlucky, as opposed to injury prone? Certainly West Ham appear to be at the moment
No he is injury prone, a bit like Woodgate is. His muscles must be shredded as if its not one thing it would have been his hamstring again.
Along with the sale of Woodgate this was another lucky bit of business by Newcastle. If I were Dyer, after spending a season and a half trying to get fit again, I would probably just give up.

He may be slightly injury prone but to be honest, anyone would have broken their leg if they were Dyer last night taking a kick like that.

Chris Kirkland has been refered to as sick note. I'm sure he had to miss a couple of games once because of sore hands!!
It's just karma dude. Break the rules, break a leg. The 'new signing jinx' is still in full effect at West Ham.

As the Sky commentary team said, totally inocuous challenge. No malice intended. The tackle from Bowyer later in the game with a thigh high boot was far worse IMHO.
Curbishly really should have taken a look at the video before coming on to spout such crap.
This sort of tackle happens week in, week out with no untoward results. It's unfortunate for poor Dyer as he seemed in much pain as you'd expect. Hope the guy recovers as quick as Cisse did.

:oh-hum:
Whatver you think of West Ham saying that someone getting a broken leg is karma is utterly pathetic.

Exactly - don't bother to post such crap please. It's hardly useful.

I didn't say that it was malicious but the ball had gone past several moments earlier so why he kicked out his leg, I have no idea. All in all, very bad timing for everything. If contact had happened a second earlier or later, Dyer's leg wouldn't have been planted and would most likely not have broken.
I hope he makes a speedy recovery and we sede him in the claret and blue again this season.
As for it being 'karma', what an absolutely stupid thing to say. Soprano, you haven't got a clue. :oh-hum:

What he said.
if you are going to make a joke at least try to make it funny or give some indication that's what you are doing.
I just don't geddit. I recall when the Hammers fans has skin tougher than armour and were to be feared. When did y'all get so sensitive?
I would have thought any post using the words 'karma' and 'jinx' would be not be taken so seriously.
I hereby apologise to anyone's feelings I have hurt

Have to admit though, it is kinda spooky - how since last summer, West Ham have suffered terrible luck with new or recent signings.
Started with Ashton last summer, then after the signings of Upson and Neill, they both suffered bad injuries on or just after their respective debuts.
Then this summer, they signed Faubert and Dyer who both have been seriously injured, Ljungberg is injured already, and Parker has yet to play!
How long before Bellamy's hamstring snaps??
Anyway, get well soon Keiron - at least it aint our £80k a week he's earning in the treatment room anymore! :suspect:
edit: took youtube content down as per t's & c's
From that replay doesn't seem much impact from the tackle.

Ah, there's the missing sarcasm
Joe Jacobson is not a dirty player and I bet he is feels terrible this morning. Alan Curbishley is making himself look like a prize one fool today saying it was intentional.
If you watch the video Joe goes for the ball and gets pushed by Dyer and connects with the back of his leg. It's wasn't a shocking challenge by any means.
I do wish Dyer a speedy recovery.
Up the Gas.

That replay certainly made me wince!
my first reaction looking at the replay was how in the hell there was ever any debate about whether there was a break or not.

I think Curbs is feeling sorry for himself and wants to take it out on someone. The Hammers arent having alot of luck with injury but theres no need to take it out on Jacobson.
