I started out with the D65 calibrated settings from this website..

http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/2007/04/22/samsung-le40m86bd-settings/

Then have fiddled with the TV.. a lot. Too much.

Now, for me D65 is too blue and this TV has a slight push to red in the skin tone. The problem was that once you start removing the red it gets a greenish look. It's a fine balance.
So this is what I have some up with. It seems to work very well for me in my light conditions (black-out blinds and single incandescent light bulb scattered off white walls.). Your mileage may vary. I have stuck with Warm2 for the colour tone, as the hdtv people (^) suggest. Some people don't like it, but I warmed to it (I know...sorry) fairly quickly.

............

I have these settings for PC(*) through DVI/HDMI and Xbox360 through VGA.

"Game Mode" off... "Energy Saving" low.... "Home Theatre PC" On.

Mode: Movie
Contrast 90, Brightness 52... (Xbox 360 VGA: 87,51)
Colour Tone: Warm2
Backlight: 2
DNR: Off

Detail Settings.
Black Adjust: Off
Dynamic Contrast: Off
Gamma: -2
Edge Enhancement: off
Colour Space: Wide
xvYCC: On (No option for this through VGA.. )

White Balance
R-Offset 12
G-Offset 14
B-Offset 6
R-Gain 6
G-Gain 20
B-Gain 27

My Colour control... all left on 15

(*)I have my DVI-HDMI port plugged into the top HDMI port on the TV (port 2) and have named the connection "PC" in the "Input, Source List". This gives locks off the tint and sharpness controls and changes the gamma by the look of it. Without this the brightness/contrast will need some tweaking from what I have here...
But I offer these settings more so they may help with colours anyway.
