3 mobile battery warranty

my phone (on 3) has developed a fault with the battery, i have reported the problem but have being informed that the battery is only covered by a 6 months warranty.

Question: is this correct - i thought all item sold in the uk had to be coved by a 12 month warranty

Batteries are consumable items.

Push the issue or get speaking to the right person and they may well sort it though.

Nokia Batteries have a 6 month warranty. LG batteries have a 6 Month warranty.

I don't know if its changed, but the Warranty is provided on top of your statutory consumer rights, i.e. Sales of goods \ services act.
