View Full Version : FREE Dyejet Pen
Its a pen that will squirt dye onto a mugger (or anyone I suppose) so that if the police are involved, helps them identify the offender.
Sounds quite a good idea, plus its free. It does say if you order more they do discounts, but they will send one for free if you fill in the form.

Interesting - some of that site reads really bizarrely... can't figure out what some of the sentences are getting at at all! Also I don't really know what a passive pen guard (what you get free) is. I don't think it's actually the dyejet thing.
Aha - just found it in the Q+A
Q - What is a Passive Penguard?
A - The Dyejet Passive Penguard is an integral part of the complete Dyejet Personal Protection Concept; we know from our research that many people find them selves alone as a worker or by individual circumstances such as nursing or caring, tacking notes at work, college, etc, or just using a pen sometimes! The Passive Penguard is another way of warning the potential offender that you may have a Dyejet Personal Protection System available to identify them should they offend against you.
It will remind you of your Dyejet Blue DNA Canister and how they work together within the whole concept of Dyejet Personal Protection. Keep in mind, the whole Dyejet DNA Personal Protection Concept is a Passive system of protection in the first instance until used, and then it becomes very proactive with its Forensic proof to identify an offender in the pursuit of Justice. The Passive Penguard forms part of the idea and also reminds you of our web site to which the Police have licensed third parties access to our recognition database.
So basically I think it is a yellow pen (may or may not have ink for writing) that is supposed to tell potential muggers that you may have a (and of course you will not actually unless you spend 30 quid on it) dye pump thing that they will never have herd of. An interesting concept indeed...
Wither you are in the street or behind closed doors, shouting out or saying in a normal tone, that you have a dyejet will NOT be harmful or overtly offensive to anyone. “STOP DYEJET”,”DYEJET THE MUGGER”, “STAY AWAY, I HAVE A DYEJET”.
They might get a fit of the giggles. Do the police actually endorse these? There's a conspicuous lack of any comments from the police on the site.

Surely this could be used to incriminate an innocent person?

Surely it would be quicker to slash all over them?
is this a joke pen? Ive seen better acting in a porn film. Worst product ever.
It's a consumer [knock off] version of Smart Water (http://www.smartwater.com) which some police constabularies do promote as it may not stop crime but it certainly helps catch and prosecute people after the offence.
Yeah but are you expected to walk around all day holding this pen in your hand in the off chance of somebody mugging you?

Or, as illustrated in the pics on the site, you can clip it to your blazer, nice..
You're just gonna edit off the mugger even more. If he has a knife, you don't really want to squirt harmless dye in his face.
It would be better if it was a dye/mace combination.
Or an uzi.
Please don't bypass the swear censor, if you have to swear then use the correct spelling and the censor will do it's job.

Can you recognise who attacked you? - Yes, he's the one with dyjet pen sticking out of his chest. I wonder if the ink is poisonous ?

Found the whole idea to be hilarious, showed it to Mrs Woim, and she wanted one...
so... uh... Thanks op.
think I'll just stick to set of protruding keys held in the hand - ink can stain like a bugger

I saw this posted on Hot Deals over a week ago, the pen does not exist you get a free 'PASSIVE' Pen Guard not the actual dyejet pen (ie you get one that doesn't work).
Nobody read the comments there either pointing it out....
If DrySolder endorses it then I'm buying ten
