Damn! What happened to the features on the recent release of the wickerman??!?! I thought there was a chance that the commentry may not be on but the whole list of features have changed!!! :mad: Much anger. Ive just traded it. I want it back! :(

One query: I have the wooden box, and apparently the extended R2 version is 5.1 and not mono..why wasn't this the case with R1?

Nah i just did a search for the wicker man on R1 play, one came up with hardly any features. The extended version has 5.1? :) yay!

Correct me if I am wrong (I don't have the DVD to hand) but I believe the wooden box contains the Original Theatrical Version in 5.1 but the Extended Directors cut is on Dolby 2.0. The R2 version yet to be released will have the same extras but a commentary and the extended version in 5.1 ! This may not happen as I can't see them remixing just for R2.

Well the R1 extended version is in mono. I need to know if the R2 extended version is in 5.1, and if so, why wasn't this done for R1? (like yourself I believe this is just mis-information)

Has anyone else's wooden box started to warp?
I opened mine this morning and had trouble closing it because the lid's started warping. If this goes on it will be looking very tatty very soon.

Not just a commentary, this should be one majorly important commentary for fans of the film as its exclusive to this release only !.
You also get a Lee interview which is also exclusive to the R2 disc.
I dont see what the point is in going ape over the thought of a 5.1 soundtrack, its not like the wickerman was ever recorded in 5.1, and I doubt a great deal can be done with the rears on such a movie.
