Just saw this tonight, straight across on Leicester Sq from the Black Hawk Down premiere. I was definitely in the right movie!

My (lowered-having-read-some-lacklustre-reviews) expectations were satisfied. Not the film it could have been, but very cool, directed with subtle style and there's not a weak link in the cast (with the possible exception of Don Cheadle's accent, which seemed to raise a mixture of mocking and appreciative laughs, but was fine by me...)

George and Brad are great together, as are George and Julia / Brad and Julia when they get to share the screen. Matt Damon is surprisingly cool too.

You just get the impression that it needed a few more great one liners, a few more great scenes, a more surprising ending and have made a little more effort - it's so laid back, so sure of itself, that it could be accused of being a little arrogant.

The most entertaining disappointment in recent memory. But my housemate and I are still scrapping over whether or not other good-upcoming-Warner-release Training Day is better (it is :D).
