This seemed like a good spec for the money so I picked me up one yesterday.

Intel Centrino 2 Duo T2450 2.0G
2048MB(1024x2) DDRII SDRAM
160GB HDD (SATA) 5400rpm
DVD Super Multi DVD+/-RW
ATI X2300 128MB(1G HyperMemory)
15.4" active matrix color TFT
56.6k Modem Built-in
8-in-1 card reader support
10/100/1000 LAN IEEE 1394 Intel 3945ABG WLAN
1.3 Mega Camera Norton 2006/7
5.1 Nero V6.x (Bundle with CD/DVD recorder)

So far I'm happy with it- it's light, looks good, nice screen, fast, though the keyboard is a little plasticky. Oh and I've spent 7 hours transferring my data:brickwall

So it's slow then?

It's got a big disk, but yes, 7 hours seems a bit excessive.

Do you know what resolution the screen does?

It's 1280x800.

The reason it took me so long is It's the first time I ever used Vista and it included sorting through my 250GB hard drive to decide what I really wanted. And I'm pedantic:wave:

1280x800 isn't too bad, at least it's suitable for 720p viewing.

For the figure spent transferring files, also bear in mind that a Vista hotfix was made available last week which fixed a widely known problem with slow file transfers.
