I'm going to be needing a contract for the next few months and I might as well get a new phone out of it.
CPW are offering up to 250 minutes on an L6 for £6 p/m after rebates and I wondered if anyone had any horror stories about this older phone model?

(It's the thinness of it that's drawing me to it at the moment.)

I got one of these on a past deal with the carphone warehouse - I took it back and canceled the contract. Granted its thin, but its really wide and long. Basically take a rolling pin to a normal phone, and you get something resembling the L6.

Hmmm.
I did check out the dimensions as I'll be replacing a V3 (from Catherine's 2006 bargain).

The V3 is 98 x 53 x 14 mm and the L6 is 110 x 49 x 11 mm.

I've got used to the width of the V3 over time so the L6 will actually improve on that for me.

Using the old, cut shapes out of paper trick, the L6 doesn't look monstrously huge next to the V3.

I was mainly worried about it possibly having a reputation for being fragile or unreliable etc

Thanks for your opinion though.

I just took out this very deal. Go through ****** and you get £60 cashback for taking out a new contract at CPW.

I'm actually quite impressed by the phone TBH. It's very thin and light so slips in and out of the pocket easily. It's a basic phone, fine for just talking and texting. Only drawbacks I can see (after 3 days) are no automatic keypad locking, and the screen is merely ok - bit low res for my liking. Build quality seems good compared to some of the SE/Nokia stuff, although not as nice as the L7 which is all metal.

Hope this helps, Matt.

Cheers for that.
I don't normally make a lot of calls or texts and never use the other functions so it sounds ideal for the light usage I'd subject it to.

What was the condition of the phone like? I noticed it said they're either ex-display or reconditioned.

Brand new as far as I could tell. No Motorola box though, and only a charger and manual.
