Is the Sony STRDE875 any good or can you recommend others within my budget?
Thanks!

Have a listen to the above, then have a listen to something like a Marantz SR4200 or Yamaha RXV420 / Denon AVR1602 and see which you like the sound of most!

Oops, I mean £223. Never was much good at sums.
Is that a proper UK model though? UK models have 2 years warranty and can use better components than grey imports apparently.

 Well I had decided to go for a Denon AVR1802 until I had a look through some threads in this forum - now I may have changed my mind. If was simply the look of the thing, I'd go for the Denon, but the opinions I have seen around here seem to suggest the Marantz is better. Have found that QED-UK.COM are selling the Marantz for £305 :)
I don't want to get into any grey import debates, all I know is that QED-UK is actually Miller Bros based in Doncaster and possibly a Retail Park near you - though the Miller Bros prices are not the same :(
The only other problem is speakers - I want discreet - like the look of the KEF eggs but £800 (ouch). There seems to be opinion that the Mission FS2-AV speakers are quite good, and they look discreet to me. The good new is that these have dropped from the £800 (same as KEF) to around £440 ish which is a bit better.
Decisions decisions

Well if QED (aka Miller Brothers, who advertise this for £279!) want to sell it at this price and make 5% on cost thats their lookout :) Bet they get no stock allocation though as maranzt don`t allow silly discounting (even empire don`t go this mad)...
