Are they any good? Can transfer domains over to them? How easy to change providers should that prove necessary?

I've given them a go. 6 quid for a year can't be sniffed at. T&c's seem fair enough.
for anyone who doesnt know Supanet is the internet arm of the Time Computers group who were renound for being sharks and eventually closed. i worked for time and also did some work for supanet, i'd avoid them if possible but for the price its not a lot wasted if it is no good.
also tvworld.co.uk is part of the old time group, they are still working out of the old time technology park.
unlimited bandwidth and diskspace? Surely there's no way to do that for 3.99 a month never mind free? :S
quick question (be kind, i am a novice in these affairs)
i have made a website for my OH's business - at present it is just hosted on my ISP's webspace which is certainly big enough to host it but i don't want everyone visiting to be redirected to my own space cause "username at ntl bladeblah" looks so naff in the address bar. so i was gonna buy some proper web hosting space anyway.
but, i also do some photography and wanted my own web space to host my photos etc. is it easy enough to point two web addresses to the same hosting space? how do i differentiate between the two different "sites" - do i just create folders or something?

Used Supanet as my ISP for 2 years with no problems at all. I did hear they went into administration a year or so ago but were subject to a management buy out.....

Yup, it's as easy as that. www.abc.co.uk could forward to one folder and www.xyz.co.uk can forward to another.
cheers, i went for it anyway
i actually work for supanet and I can assure you that you wont have a single problem with the service here.... we have currently set up a rock solid hosting platform and the firm is investing heavily in it!

Can you comment on the unlimited diskspace/bandwidth? Presumably there is a FUP if you try and use it too much?
as far as we are aware there is a FUP in place.. just be sensible with it and dont set up a warez site and you should be ok!
kanjar - how many domains (not subdomains) registered elsewhere can be used with this hosting?
you can point as many domains as you want into that one hosted site..
you can point as many domains as you want into that one hosted site..
which would be different to having several domains hosting different sites from one host provider, which is what I was getting at.
do you get a CGI Bin with this package as I have my own mail back form which I would like to use. Can I only use one pre made in the Library ...hopefuly I do get a CGI-bin which I can place my own script in ....please can someone let me know here.. many thanks
signed up - no idea what i was doing though !!
should be interesting to see if i can get it to work :D
link now working for me, does someone hve an alternative link pls?
I'd like to know the FUP policy - I've some high bandwidth stuff I can put up (not illegal...)
It was for the first 1000 users. Probably expired? It's still damn good value though at their normal rates!

If you are creating or moving a website that makes extensive use of mysql databases be sure to ask what they set their 'max users/connectionss' at. If it's too low it can make the site pretty damn useless especially at busy periods. Particularly important for forums and CMS sites.
Are you *the* AbFab Vincent.. vega? UKCCL??
Won't load now so I guess it's gone? Their home page is an horrific mess.
The offer has now finished.. but spoken to management and they said if we can get enough interest for this offer then they will look at putting it back up!
