Yes its another "What should i buy thread"

Looking for a cheap and cheerful player that is capable of playing Divx discs. Does not have to have HDMI but if it can on a budget then happy days

TIA

i got three in the house all cheap and all do the job fine

1) is the cheap yakuzi one from svp about 25 quid

2) is the cheap ebuyer one which is about 23 quid

3) bush one from Argos (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-582776-5472106) 27 quid but no postage

all play divx brilliant but i think the bush one is better made has a few more options and the guide is nicely laid out

although the picture quality on the yakuzi one from svp prob shades all 3 for pic quality only just

and i think the firmware is also upgradable on this aswell

check out svp mate they have reviews on there

If you can stretch to £40, get the Philips DVP5960 - Its multiregion, plays divx including very latest Divx 6 codecs (they call it Ultra-Divx on the box!) AND it is HDMI with Upscaling!

Get it here (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000G2Y59E/thedvdforums-21)

How about the one mentioned in the bargain (http://www.thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=483512) forum?
