What does the Star Trek boxset include? I'm presuming it's all seven seasons of Next Gen plus the four movies.

Let's just hope they change "the complete season" on the A-team box to "the complete series"! :dork:

that a-team boxset would look much better without the Playback logo and the 15 cert stickers plastered all over it. Any idea of price?

Just found it at Amazon (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000RWDXDW/thedvdforums-21) for £112.49. It's all seven seasons but no movies.

The A Team (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000SLW5Y0/thedvdforums-21) is £97.49 which is still nearly £20 a season. :(

Is this the Next Gen boxset that Wil Wheaton was talking about the new extra features for? He said their "mind-blowing".

We'll see, Wesley. We'll see.

He does strike me as the kind of bloke who finds electric can openers "mind blowing" though..

That's a pretty good price at £16 a season.

Personally I wouldn't want the movies as I'd rather get all 10 movies seperately. I'm glad they're just sticking with the T.V. Series.

Here's the link with all the info on the Star trek box set...

There's more cool photos on there too

From what they were saying on tvshowsondvd for the R1 you get 1 extra bonus disk with the newly produced extras. For other disks unchanged from previous release.

This I presume means that some of the extras from R2 will be missing on R1 new set as there they were only released on an exclusive best buy additional bonus disk for each season.

I'd consider buying the R1 TNG boxset. I wasn't very pleased with the quality of the PAL conversions.

These days for a star trek box set costing that much, for me to even consider it, it would have to contain.

Original Series
Animated Series
Next Generation
DS9
Voyager
Enterprise
All Movies

You'd be hard pressed to get the number of blank discs it would take for that price

For just over a ton, I'd say it's a good price, as far as Star Trek stuff goes anyway! In fact, as you've probably guessed, I'm a big fan/collector of Box Sets, and thats a pretty good price for a box set really.

I must admit though, that's one hell of an idea, it would be awesome to get "Star Trek: The Legacy - The Definitive Collection" lol! (never gonna happen!) :suspect:

A 7 season boxset costing £112.99 is not unusual. Look at the RRP of the complete Babylon 5 boxset.

For some reason the R1 boxset is nearly £90 more for a pre-order. Surely a first for Star Trek, R1 being more expensive than R2??

That's actually a good price. Wonder how much I could get for my existing box sets.....:suspect:
