I'm short sighted myself and thinking of getting a pair of special prescription glasses to play football in (probably similar to Edgar Davids) as my eyes are getting worst as the years past by , just wondering does anyone here wear these type of glasses to play football in, do they stay on your head when you go up for a header, how do you cope in the rain?
I haven't yet got a pair, but I'm interested too. One of the best are apparently the Adidas ones with the "double lenses" - i.e. one prescription lense and one non-prescription lense on each eye, the non-p one is coloured to suit different environments, ie indoor 5-aside, outdoors, bright sunshine etc. I did try a pair on once, and they did seem quite comfortable, if a bit "showy". You can wear them as normal sun glasses, but the arms can be removed and replaced with a stretchy band for when playing, so they should stay on very well. When I get the time to get fit again I may splash out on a pair!
Heres a pic of them, this is just a random site that google provided, I have no experience of dealing with them, etc etc....
