Help on Sony DAV s500 DVD player.......

Just wandering if anyone has any info on whether there is a handset hack for this unit. I think I heard somewhere that someone has done it through a handset but everyone else seems to think that Sony DVD players can only be chipped and I think this costs around £50 but don't want to invalidate the warranty by doing this.

see here (http://thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=46658). You will have to remove the cover so unfortunately this player cannot be made regio-free without some sort of cover removal. Hope this helps.

Yes but unfortunately it doesn't do davecochranes machine. Novel idea though.
