View Full Version : Videologic DTS System, Any Hints or tips
I've ordered one of these from tiny. (£250 was a good price for it)
Any advice on getting the best out of this ? Im sure somebody said that it was advisable to buy new speaker cables or a long lead to the sub or somthing ?
Anybody want to refresh my memory ?

Get the longer centre -> sub connector from Videologic. It will give you much greater freedom of placement for the sub.
Once you've test tone balanced the speakers to your satisfaction, knock the relative volume on the centre speaker up a notch or two to help with dialogue clarity. The centre speaker in this system is definitely not as punchy as the surrounds.
When test tone setting the volume, set the master volume to twelve o'clock first (6 lights IIRC) and set the relative volume on each speaker no more than half this. You'll then should be able to go VERY loud without distortion.
Stick on the T2:UE DTS opening and if you are not grinning from ear to ear by the time the flying HK is shot down then you are never going to be impressed by surround sound. :)
