Got McRae Dirt on the 360, but nothing else struck me, a pretty poor sale imo. Most of the previous £5 titles seem to have been reduced by a whole penny!

[cough] Almost certainly a fake [cough]
Really?? Would you be able to tell when you got it?

john316
26-06-2007, 14:50
Its difficult to expose the fakes other than checking to see if Magicgate is enabled when you check the card on the PSP. But the Sony cards do not retail anywhere close to that price - I would not touch ANY 'official' Sony Pro Duo cards that are suspiciously cheap as they will more than likely fail within 6-12 months or you end up finding the actual capacity is far less than the reported amount. Buy a Sandisk one or a Sony card at a more realistic price at a genuine retailer and not via Ebay/Amazon Marketplace is my advice.

It's about £100 cheaper than the average price available elsewhere, selling for between £495 and £550 at the moment in a lot of places.

Yes, it's a fantastic 32" lcd television (- pre C and X series models). I thought they'd disappeared for good, but it looks like Play.com (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://playcom.at/thedvdforums) found some more stock. Basically, it's the analogue only tuner version of the 32WLT66 (http://www.trustedreviews.com/tvs/review/2006/05/08/Toshiba-32WLT66-32in-LCD-TV/p1). The worse thing about this model is the crappy remote, but that's about it.

So you wouldn't carry on shopping with Play, a company you obviously have been happy with up till now if you have 30 pages of order history with them, because they won't honour a mis price.:cuckoo::lol:

I agree an email would of been in order. They should never cancel an order without sending out an e-mail explaining why.

I placed a pre-order on 23 April, 2007, for the Trigun Boxset which was advertised for sale at £14.99. They cancelled the order on 10 May, 2007, and failed to notify me so it was only a few weeks ago that I noticed the said cancellation. I have no problem with a company cancelling mis-prices but they should have the decency to notify the customer accordingly.

they got a 2gig SD card for 12 quid which will be handy for my new camera :) I just noticed the 32" Toshiba 32WL66 for £400, anyone know if thats any good, seems a lot off the asking price.

I bought one of those 2GB SD digital cards for £8.99 (inc delivery) yesterday (shipped today):

2GB Play.com Secure Digital Card (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://playcom.at/thedvdforums?DURL=http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/912163/-/Product.html?)

At that price with a five year warranty, the size of it and a 66x write speed (this isn't actually mentioned on the page but I checked elsewhere) I thought it was a decent buy (it must have dropped in price over the past day or two).

EDIT - Though I see two people on that page have left it with bad reviews. One of them (3/5 rating) because it isn't the kind of card that is compatible with a PSP (wouldn't be hard because it doesn't take SD cards afaik) and the other left a 2/5 rating simply to ask if it would work with a PSP. :suspect:

I don't see why it wouldn't work with your Wii. I'm sure I read somewhere (probably on this forum) that the Wii only takes up to 2GB SD cards.

Damn that's good service, delivered before it's even been shipped.;)

Oops wrong wording used. :D

The TMX Tickle me Elmo is the cheapest I've seen it - £17.99 as opposed to the usual £35. One is winging it's way to me right now!
