Anyone know whether the R2 version of the film is the same as the standard R1 or the Director's Cut. If it is the standard, is there a big difference - both versions seem to be listed at 102 minutes i.e. 98 minutes on PAL.

All your answers can be found here (http://www.dvdcompare.org.uk/comparisons/film_results_page.php?fid=775) :)

Ooops. I should have expressed myself better - I know the details from the DVDCompare website but it was specifically the film I was interested in not the extras - Huh (sharp intake of breath) heresay!

The R2 is exactly the same as the R1 Unrated (aka Director's cut)

You expressed yourself fine, you just can't read too well as you obviously don't know the details from the DVDCompare website - all the clues are there :)

On that link it states R1 unrated - no cuts; R1 standard - re-edited, see imdb; R2 - no cuts. Therefore it is the same as the unrated R1 version as if it was the same as the standard version it would say re-edited.

Also, if you then check imdb here (http://us.imdb.com/AlternateVersions?0180093) as the site suggests, it tells you the differences between the rated and unrated versions, which I believe covers your original question in its entireity.

On the R2 disc the FILM is the same as the R1 director's cut but on the extras front the R2 MISSES OUT the commentary by cinematographer Matthew Libattique.

how's this for a bump then?

noticed that there are four available versions of this at DVDsoon. The Director's Cut, the Rated, The Unrated and a double pack with Pi.

Does anyone know what version of the film comes in the double pack with Pi?

The Requiem/Pi double pack just arrived (it's just the two seperate releases shrinkwrapped together, no slipcase or anything) and it is indeed the Director's Cut in the package, it's a great deal about £9.20 for both films.
