Scan DD 5.1 + DTS Decoder + speakers

Anyone got any views on this system, can't find much out about it but for under £200 including delivery, might tempt me!!

I am not a Scan owner, so I will tread carefully here and try to be objective. Essentially, you get what you pay for. An exceptionally low price is usually reflected in build quality or performance. In this case I would suggest both. Alarm bells initially ring when RMS power figures are obscured behind massively inflated PMPO power ratings. Total power is only 63 watts RMS. Ok for a small bedroom but not much else. Then there is that disclaimer at the bottom. Reading between the lines it says 'we can send you anything, that performs in any way and you have to accept it'. Cynical I know, but how many have fallen foul of outlets that take your money, then treat you as second class citizens when you are unhappy with the result. I think you are taking a risk. As an add on to a PS2 or pc based system, this may be what you're looking for, but for anything more discerning, I think you may be looking to upgrade relatively quickly.
Any Scan owners out there should post their opinions. As actual users, their opinions may be more valid than mine.
