Good movie - it relates to MM in the same way as Alien to Aliens. Bigger, more stuff. Highly Recommended
Now MM3 that's another story.
Not bad but there was something missing.
EDIT typo

He's called Byron Kennedy who some have suggested had the vision of what was to be achieved in the first two movies and gave the resources to George Miller to do that, but tragically he died in a helicopter accident before the 3rd movie was made. Splitting directing chores probably didn't help either, plus more scripters, producers, etc. and you see the problem.
Thanks guys, I'm going to get Mad Max 2 on DVD then
Now I know there's bugger all extras but what's the quality of the R2 disc like?
Thanx
cant comment on the quality but its only £9.99 over at Play so might get it myself.
Nice to see it hit the fourm...
Is there a boxset / any plans for a boxset on any region?
Mad Max 2 (aka Road Warrior) is one of the great action movies of all time, comparible to the best of Spielberg in terms of blockbuster entertainment.
Be warned though, the R2 disc, although cheap, suffers from terrible digital artifacts, as many early Warners discs do. This is particuarly evident in the night sequences.

I watched this 2 days ago, there were no digital artifacts on my copy.

Unlikely in R1 and R4, due to rights issues. There have long been rumors of an R4 release by Village with DTS, but it is a case of tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow, with even the tentative release date being pushed back. I've given up and ordered the R1.
Anyway, due to my (very tenuous) connections with the film, I'm pleased that it is getting a decent release.

There is a box set out in R2.
It's just the 3 standard Warner disc's in a cardboard box.

Is that the 'HMV Exclusive' Box set? Just holds all three films for £24.99 without any extras :(
