I am new to all this dts/digital lark. My dvd player only has coaxial digital out and I want connect it to my decoder digital coaxial input, does this require a special lead?
thanks!
You'll need a digital coaxial cable which it looks like a single phono cable (they are interchangable actually).
Can be picked up cheap from somewhere like www.beyondhifi.com

Or you could use one half of a phono to phono lead.
I have yet to hear a good reason to use a special lead for a digital bitstream connection.
Perhaps someone could enlighten me.

For the sake of purity, phono audio and phono digital are different impedances. If you want to utilise existing cables, use a yellow video phono cable. In reality the proof is in the hearing and if you can't hear a difference, who cares!
