Band Of Brothers DVD release...any news?

Just wondering if there was anything in the pipeline. If it is to be released, and i would imagine it is, any inclination given as to when?

It was due early this year but has been put back until Late 2001 because of the events since Sept 11th, the US Studios didn't think that the US consumers would want to be reminded of a long way with high US military casulties.

This is about the 4th post on this subject in as many weeks!!!
(I posted one - like most I was not aware of any previous posts on the subject, due to the disabled search facility).

What I want to know is do BBC own the rights for a R2 release?
If so, it may be that R2 get it first because of US syndication rights (i.e. TV series may not be released on DVD for a certain period after the programme first aired).

For me, this is a must buy and from what I can gather reading other threads/ other web sites, I'm far from being on my own.

For the love of Jebus I hope not, they'd probably release it on bare bones discs in hack & scam. :nuts:
