I've heard bad reports of buy.com, but I'm considering using a £20 off voucher to get a liteon 24x cd writer to replace my 2x one. Whats the bad news?? bad customer services?? examples??

Never had any problems with them, in 15+ orders:clap:

Goods always arrived next day, unless out of stock (which I knew when I ordered), refunded the £20 Waitrose voucher with no problems and they exchanged a faulty motherboard without a quibble.

ordered scanner on thursday night, used £5 next working day delivery.

Turned up on Saturday morning!

The only probs I've ever had with buy.com have been down to the generally ***** City Link, but as of late they've been top class. Must be all the bollockings I keep giving my local depot's transport manager. :p Hello Dave, if you're reading this....

Yep, I've always had good excellent service too. There's always plenty of vouchers for buy.com too, quite often making them the cheapest.

last time I used them, I ordered an HD which was out of stock.

3 months later, and without any contact between us, myself and buy have come to a telepathic mutual agreement that they're not going to send an HD and I'm not going to expect one.

NOT A SINGLE WORD FROM THEM!!

just ignored them and use simply.co.uk

I've only ordered three times from them but each time they have been excellent - very quick for in stock items. And their CS were quick to reply to my email complaining that their voucher didn't work, and offering to honour it even though it should have been for first time customers only (apparently the voucher's T&Cs were 'confusing' :p).

Ordered a printer at 3.47 yesterday afternoon - delivered at 11.45 this morning!

Generally been OK in the past - did have a problem a few months ago where an 'in stock' item took 5 days to get to me but they refunded the £4.95 'next day delivery' charge.
