i hope it's the originals, not the remasters. they had a charm to them that was lost somewhat when remastered as their newly-found glossiness detracted from the comedy.

Yeah, i hope they stick to the older ones. Imo august is just too late though. They've had long enough to do it but i still will probably buy em by boxset and gradually "phase out" my VHS'

Hmm i doubt they will have decent extra's as i'ved heard that the DVD will be only coming out properly after the Movie.. after Grant and Naylor have done extra's.. so the US versions might just be the Episodes.. only

I prefer the original versions myself, but I'd the say the DVDs will be the remastered versions. I read on these Forums before that there's going to commentary tracks on each episode.

But the beauty of DVD is that they could supply both on dual sided discs and let the viewer decidewhich to watch.

Although I have no idea about extras I heard the UK will be getting seasons 1 & 2 of the ORIGINAL series later this year.
