a tough one! - are u sure it's MIA, and not New Line Cinema?

for a fiver - i'd say get it - as the action is all intact, and the spoken language is mostly English (the rest is dubbed into English) - pic quality is good, but think its P&S.

The alternative is to order the HK (China Star) version from somewhere like dddhouse.com - just as cheap, but it is uncut (added dialogue scenes) and is completely in Cantonese or Mandarin. 2.35:1 with Bad pic quality.

or the Chinese Ritek version - same as china star but better picture and Mandarin only.

I'd get them all to be a completist! but the cropping doesn't hurt too much on the english version!

Are you sure it's not "Rumble In Hong Kong". I bought this on Video a long time ago (years before DVD), and even then I was surprised that such a bad transfer would ever be allowed to sell... The pan and scam picture is all over the place (everywhere except the center of the print) and the sound quality is awful. Touch only with someone else's barge pole...

i think it must be Rumble in Hong Kong (BAD FILM!!!)

as the New Line Cinema release is R1 only to my knowledge ?
the vhs has been released here under the Miramax/Hollywood Pictures label.

best to steer clear! just rent the vhs - if u know u like the film, import it from HK or Canada depending which version u want!

I saw it at Tesco aswell, and it was in the charts at 22!! Holy crap. I was misled years ago, when it came out years ago as an extra on an Eastern Heroes tape (yep, they had extras back then... ON VHS!). Thought, wow, they're being generous.

Read on if you want to know a little bit a bout it. Jacky Chan with a mole and he's in a bit role as a villain's goon, does one decent stunt, then loses in a fight. If you don't want to be scarred for life, stay well clear.

EDIT: Added spoler tags, oh and that was not a spelling mistake.

It's already OOP for this one. (it's been a couple of years now)
Currently Warner Bros in Hong Kong have the video rights for the Hong Kong release, but... they've only released the VCD and not the DVD. What I've heard of the old chinastar edition was that it was like a VCD transfer onto DVD.
