Well my AV receiver has gone bang, kind of, the centre speaker output has 'gone' :(
Money's a bit tight at the moment, holiday next month, any recommendations folks?
DENON AVR1507 (http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/page/moreinfo.cfm/Product_ID/2926). A tiny bit over budget at 179 delivered, but is a 7.1 reciever with a good punch and fabulous sound stage for the money.

Yep, I agree, a great AV system for the price.

I think its because I got the best available one for that price range! It really is worth that extra 30 quid!

I'm thoroughly underwhelmed by the AVR1507 I bought recently, to the point where I'm considering taking it back to Richer Sounds to check it isn't broken.
The sound isn't a patch on the Yamaha 795a it replaced, which I would have loved to have repaired, but it was going to cost £150!!
