Was by far my fav game when it was originally released in this genre by Eidos

may give it a go now, but i suspect it have the dreaded NO VISTA support.

Far superior to the C&C series as you had to conserve your forces and design vehicles for certain things.......
i.e you start in a small section of the map and win but end up getting totally hammered. Instead of getting a new construction yard etc and beginning afresh, what you finished with is what you have to work with and so on.
Certain weapons only work effectively against selective structures eg bunker buster excellent for taking out concrete but lousy against armour.

Good missions such as having an hour (I think) to evacuate as many of your forces as possible using transports that arrive every say 10 minutes and carry up to 10 units whilst fighting off enemy attacks from multiple directions with limited resources.

Should work on pretty much any pc in the last 10 years but don't quote me on that.
