The cheaper the better (it's not for me!). So what's the cheapest you've seen, and where?

I think somewhere like Tesco does as 28" Beko for about £230 I think. How much do you want to spend?

I am currently weighing up whether to get the DAEWOO from Empire Direct (http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/productdetailsnew.asp?MODELCODE=DAE-DWX28W5GB) for £270, or the BEKO from HED (http://www.hed.co.uk/showitem.asp?CAT=50&PID=2321) for £260.

Not made my mind up yet, so if anyone has an opinion..

There's been quite a lot of discussion about BEKO sets on the bargain forums. Let's just say that they are genuinely bottom line products made in Turkey by a firm called Arcelik, part of a group called coc :)

Daewoo on the other hand is a multi-million producer of all sorts of stuff (albeit one that's in money trouble) that aims at the lower middle market but with pretty good quality stuff, well priced. Bit like LG really. I've had a PC monitor of theirs for 5 years and it's still perfectly good - in no sense rubbish.

I know which set I'd buy ......

Cheers guys. It's for my parents, who are looking at £280 at most.
