View Full Version : [PC] Season 6 - signup closed - option A chosen
Ok guys in and voting time is here.
Heres your options for this season.
A League 1 has Elite teams, Championship has good teams, Prem has average teams. A cup comp will be run along side this.
B Simular to the above but its randomised so Prem could get the elite etc, if this is voted for then no cup comp will be run
C Keep everything the same as it is but vote for what kind of teams you want to use for example C - Elite Clubs
D Have select countries per league eg Premiership gets England, League 1 Spain etc....we would have to boot the elites out as Tequila could get Barca and I could get Getafe.
E Everyone has the same team - that teams is TBA.

i know e maybe is not to your liking john but i thought you would like the idea as it all boils down to skill and tactics
using that advanced pro evo brain of yours to work out the best styles for players and a formation
this will be a true player v player none of this silly adriano shoots from 500 miles and scores both teams will have the exact same teams with no advantage
the only advantage you will gain is that of your sheer skill and tactical judgement to overcome your opponent
didnt think you would be one to bottle that kind of challenge :eek:
and at least we can say we were beaten by our opponent and not some wonder konami goal by one of seabass love children
what i would say is if e does win then we dont use the top clubs for the team chosen maybe one that has a good mix of players we can work with and no reliability on one star man
It would just bore the crap out of me - the same players and names all the time would just mentally cripple me and I'd be relegated due to mental fatigue. It is bad enough playing the same team in a couple of preseason games, never mind preseason + 20 odd league games :gag:

I'd like to drop out of season 6 please Rich thanks for all the hard work but need a break from pro evo and work starts back up in a few weeks and things are gonna be busy.
Plus im gonna me moving locations again so who knows about net.

A or D please. If A is chosen I don't mind being in the bottom league but being given a none elite team as each time I start in the bottom I tend to get to the Prem pretty quickly (not bragging, thats just how it is).</s>

I enjoy PES up until the prem, then the dirty tackles and cutbacks come out :(
It's bad enough putting up with the ***** shooting but throw them in and it gets very frustrating very quickly.
In fact, I'm winding myself up thinking about it. Scrap that Rich, I'm sitting out again.
I'd of expected to of started out in L1 anyway, but I think I need a bigger break from competitive play.
I think a go at the Doubles League would be more your doing at the moment Bolchy - would be very entertaining if we can kick that off sooner rather than later :D

I'm provisionally in with a vote for A.
I say provisionally, because if E wins, i'd probably withdraw. I'd get no enjoyment from playing the same team over & over again.
And it wouldn't show who the best player is because
a) Everybody would have to be in one big league. Who's to say a league 1 player couldn't beat the top premiership players if all things were equal.
and
b) Player condition would have to be set to normal, which would make everything even more tedious.
And lets face it, we already know who the best players are. Everybody playing with the same team is not going to prove anything. The cream will also rise to the top.

Yeah I definitely agree.
Part of the fun for me, is playing different teams, different players, and learning the best way of countering their star players etc - playing the same team every time would just be deathly dull.

Its about time there was some real equality in the picking of teams, this way no one can complain that they got the worst team.
I would also like a cup competition to run alongside this too and give the prem players the crap teams and the crap players the best teams.

what is the ******* point in making a thread asking people to vote what they want when the usual gang make the decision for you rich if they dont like it then they say they will leave and not play
at the end of the day that is their choice let them drop out its never mattered before with other players

the votes quite clearly show that their are people who like my idea of option e
but i get the feeling even if this option wins then it wont be chosen

this is true but its only a couple we have had people drop out in the past for reasons unknown also a few have dropped out because they were fed up of getting **** teams

this also gives me the impression with the amount of votes cast that some people are just genuinly fed up of playing mismatched games and doing poor cuz their team is crap

im not being bigheaded or trying to belittle other players but i have held my own well since pes6 in the top division and this time i have been given a poor team in relation to others and now find myself relegated lol ffs
yes i know germany are 8th in your table but on the pitch they are worse than that
lets look at it a bit more closey
1 your team is likely to have 20 odd players so both teams are not going to be exact
2. it will be nice and easy for rich to sort out
3. players will feel like they are playing against other players in a true game not trying their heart out for a spawny seabass love child goal from adriano who has beaten 15 men had a drink sat down and rested and still not been tackled to come along and score in the 89th minute lol
if its the fact that playing the same teams over and over every game then maybe a comprimise could be made
if its 12 per league then use just 3 very evenly matched teams then it varies it a little
i will go with whatever but i was just looking at the bigger picture thats all and looking out for guys that are like me and would like to actually pits my wits on an even basis with anohter player for a change
In the case of 3 surely that's why we hardly ever play with the elite teams? Until a bunch of people get fed up, say they want elite teams, then moan because Adriano's just walked through their defence. If it was up to me we'd never play with elite teams so wouldn't have that problem. Or at the very least do option A so in cup competitions it evens it out amongst players.
I'd say option D is an excellent alternative to option E and imo would be far more entertaining. You'll remove the elite element, every team would be different, every team would be on a similar level. I'd say the average English team would also be stronger than the average Dutch team, so based on that Rich could even distribute the league to countries so that lower divisions have the stronger selection so that a cup would still provide some balance between the Prem players and the League 1 players.
Ultimatly whatever happens I'd love to see a cup comp with the Prem players getting worse teams and the League 1 players getting the best teams. This would work best if the same teams were used for the league games as it then saves tailoring your game to 2 different teams for the same season. But it doesn't matter to me anyway as I'm not entering the league this season :p

That's still going to happen though even if you have matching teams. All it takes is a 2 yard shot being blasted wide or your defender walking in an own goal which we all know happens far more often in PES than in real life. Matching teams won't solve anything in terms of final results, all it will do is give a greater accuracy to the possesion/shots statistics which is hardly a method for ranking a players ability. IIRC I took T to the cleaners shot's wise in our last Prem games yet I lost both matches. Bottomline is I don't think you'll ever take the 'Con-ami' element out of the game, next best thing is to keep it fun.

For the last couple of weeks I'd been considering not playing next season. I felt totally stale and just wasn't having fun with PES6 anymore (even when I won a game). But just today I finally tried changing my formation significantly with Spain and now I'm playing well again. Most importantly the game feels fun. Can't lose at the moment either.. just wish I'd changed my formation earlier in the season.
Anyway I'm in next season
As for selecting the league format. Well option E sound like the worst idea's ever. Why not just keep it like it is? If not then either A, C or D sound fine.
Rich I would like to play this season as always but am on holiday from 27th June till the 7th July and am concerned I wont hit deadlines.
Not sure of the timescales for next season.
Would be happy to enter and choose option A but if I miss deadlines or not finish due to hol I wouldnt want to be chucked or anything.
Dont mind either way with this one, if you think I will hit dealines then im in and if not then happy to sit out for a season. Your call:thumbs:

it never used to be matt in the days when we joined together and rose to the top
