With July fast coming round, is anyone up for this ?
Of course, I'll start the *official* thread in a few weeks. It's come around quick again, hasn't it? :D

I was thinking about it just this morning. Working out that we shall be in France for at least one Le Tour stage (as well as in London for the prologue) and Amsterdam during July - so some clear opportunities already. Looking forward to it.

mmm... not sure this year. I (well my wife) have had a baby since last year, and I get grief at the moment (from her, not the baby), if I go out. So imagine what it'll be like to get home from work, and then to go out pretty soon afterwards, looking for photo oportunities, every day for 31 days!!
Like Highlander, I really can't see the missus being to happy about this, but what the hell, i'll give it a go!!

I'll be up for this, but it will probably an UWA fest for me as I am getting a Canon 10-22mm for my birthday. So be prepared for 31 days of the same shots I took last year but wider as I play with the new toy
Hmm, might be tempted to blow a film on this :D
Might select an old camera and put a roll through it as the month progresses (Then bugger up processing...)

This sounds good. Do you need to post everyday or could I go away for the weekend and posts shots for each day on return?
Also, how about we use this as the July theme? Legs being the June one

For you 'newbies', here's what happened last year.

No real rules, just make sure you take at least one photo every day in July and post your best / favourite for that day when you can. The aim is to have 31 photos by the end of the month, I'll start a new flickr (http://www.flickr.com) group for everyone to add to. See if we can beat 35 people that took part last year. If you can't manage all 31 for whatever reason, it's not important, just take part as much as you can.
We'll also choose an *official* icon for the flickr group from the entrants early on so keep that in mind for your shooting subjects (maybe this is the year for Roy's knob (http://www.flickr.com/groups/pad2006/discuss/72157594197244259/72157594197900496/)? :D ).
I think this is coming along at the right time as I'm going through the yearly "I-seem-to-have-too-much-or-not-enough-of-the-right-kit-yet-
cannot-take-a-photo-that-doesn't-look-rubbish-
and-inspiration-has-dried-up-along-with-I-have-half-a-dozen-film-cameras-that-need-finishing-oh-why-did-I-bother-with-film-I-can't-decide-etc..." You know what I mean? :brickwall
I'll make a stab at it. If I'm out of inspiration I can always photograph my burgeoning tower of Canon boxes.
For anyone dithering, this is an excellent way of getting real practice, my shots came on leaps and bounds during last years challenge.
I'm not sure I will be able to do the entire month of July this year because I've got a few things going on, but I will if I can.

Count me in though I am away for the last part of the month I can always add them later on.

There are a few that frequent both here and another forum that I use so if it is going to be Flickr and forum based I can mention it over there. I was considering doing it there anyway but didn't want to nick the idea :D
I'll leave the decision to you Boink!

Considering something similar myself - I'm thinking of taking 5 each day (few more on Sunday :) ) then processing and posting the best from each day at the end of the week. It's the only way I can think of to make it reasonably manageable on film.
Although thinking about it, maybe I could do an HP5+ week, a Velvia week, a Vista week, and an Efke week...
July is a four week and a bit month.

S'ok, I can roll a little can of HP5 for the bit :)
Wait til you try Efke, you'll repend of your sinful hp5 using ways

THought you'd want to try polaroid for those extra days. ;)
I'm up for this again, though it nearly killed me last time. Work's going to be a bit mad during July so I'm trying to get a headstart by brainstorming 31 brilliant ideas for photos that'll be relatively easy to take. So far I'm up to five

No more formats!
(At least, not until I find a 120 camera I get on with).

Did you say you picked up a Braun Paxina metal folder? Do you not get on?

Too dirty to use at the moment - the lens needs dismantling and giving a good scrub, as, sadly, does the Digna 6x6 I bought the other week (similar design to the Braun, but with a ferocious spring that propels the lens out from the body with some force).
I've got a Paxina with a clean lens, but the shutters gone. LMK and I'll bring take it over there at some point and you can make a good one from the pair.
Or a completely rubbish one. ;)
Says the holga user. The paxina is at least light tight and has a lens made of glass...

You could have just continued to use this thread instead of starting a new one. Seeing as we have two now I am closing this one.
