Can anyone suggest a good pair of front speakers for under £200?

Must be good for listening to music and DD / DTS, floor standing, quite big and have a lot of bass as I dont have a sub woofer.

Cheers

Obvious choice at the mo is the Mission 773e from Richer Sounds - down from £400 to £200 - a real bargain and hugely musical

Otherwise Mission M73 (£160 or so), Tannoy mX3 (same) or Wharfedale Diamond 8.3 (same again)

You can;t go wrong with any of these.....

While they are undeniably good speakers (especially for £200), the 773e are probably not for lovers of lots of bass (they are small for floostanders as well - I think they look elegant, but you said you wanted big).
The other mentioned, while all capable enough speakers, may not supply enough bass for you.

I'd look at Mission M74 at £203, or Wharfedale Pacific Pi30/Pi40 at £186/£205. (all prices from QED).

Depends on what size you are looking for. £200 should get you a pair of B&W 601 S2, possible S3 if you are lucky
