View Full Version : Scart leads with inbuilt Macrovision decoder ???
I saw these being sold at a computer fair once.
Does anyone know if they actually work?
If they do where is the cheapest place that I can get one from via mail order?

I don't know if they work or not, but the only place I've seen them mail-order is Ringos (he has a thread/link in the bargain forum). It's about 30 quid I think.

I've got a SONEL (http://www.sonel.com) mac remover and it works pretty well. There is a slight distortion at the top of the screen on P&S stuff, if you're watching W/S then you can't see it. Also there is sometimes a bit of distortion if a scene involves lots of bright white, I guess this makes the signal hard to lock on to. Apart from that they're great for the money.
Hope this is of use
USE THIS SECURELINK (https://home.btconnect.com/ringos/forumorder.htm) and i'll even make a donation to FORUM FUNDSvor every lead sold ( actaully ANDYW has been to ill to set up an affiliate link up top but we,ve been talking about this for days now!)
theres a review of the one ringos sell on the dvdtimes site, pretty good one as well :)
I've just ordered one of these from ringos ( thought i'd do my bit for the forum ;) ) so I'll let you all know what I think of it when it arrives.

Been a while, and just did a search for macrovision looking for macrovision disabling cables.
