I recieved this yesterday and when I play the movie the colours seem really really dark so the brightness and colour needs turning up. At first I though it might be the connections between my player and TV but when you play the bonus material on the disc the picture colours are fine. I think the transfer to DVD wasn't done as well as it could have been.

Any one else find this? It is like that on my other player as well.

A lot of the reviews i've seen on various DVD sites, DVDfile, DVDtown etc have also noted this problem. It's probably down to the amount of audio tracks on there.

Never noticed anything on my Canadian copy - probably too busy laughing at 'da man Stifler'!

I've just ordered my copy, the bonus stuff on it looks pretty good.

So it's not just me then. If you compare that scene at that start where jim is in bed with that girl at college to the same bit in the trailer on the same disc where he is in bed with her, there is a helluva lot of difference in colour! :mad:

I had to switch mine from AV1 to RGB 1 (whatever it is??) I have never had to do that before.

Still a great film :clap:

Same problem for me as well!

I never really thought any more of it thought untill I spotted this thread....

I ended up with the brightness on my DVD player nearly at max, which then decreases the overall picture quality somewhat.. :rolleyes:

I thought that the transfer for AP2 looked very poor. It looks very soft and washed out. As someone else stated above, what with the DD and DTS soundtracks and the extra features on the disc, they probably had to lower the bitrate for the transfer.

I could've done without the DTS soundtrack to be honest (even though I listened to it - the film doesn't really demand it!)

After the mixed reviews i've heard from people buying it from abroad i think i'll stick to waiting till March 18th for R2. Its not as if i haven't seen it yet or anything.

My copy was fine picture wise but i didn't rate the soundtrack that much. I know it's not a massive sound effect movie but with the number of songs on it they could have made better use of it.
