.....Dallas!
http://www.ultimatedallas.com/bringbackdallas/
Just a heads up for the next 'Bring Back...' programme with Justin Lee Collins, this time looking to reunite the cast of 80's soap Dallas!!
Saw a trailer last night, and the show is on this coming Sunday at 9pm on Ch4.
On the trailer, Patrick Duffy didn;t look pleased to see the JLC!!

Nor would I (if I was actually 'somebody'), Collins is a nostalgia peddling ****.

Argh!!! Clashes abound, it's on the same time as 24, then it's the lost Finale!! I'll be setting Sky+ for this one, Didn't really watch the show, but saw the trailer last night, Patrick Duffy closing the door on him had me  if nothing else!
I'll watch this anyway as I love Dallas but I don't know why they chose this for a staged reunion, the cast get together for tv specials etc all the time!
The Donna Reed stuff could be interesting though. She was wonderful way back when (in movies like 'It's a Wonderful Life') but let's face it she just wasn't anyone's Miss Ellie godammit! That switcheroo really confused the hell out of me as a kid!

Yeah, unless he's trying to reunite some of the main ones, but also some that didn't get on.
That seems to be the idea of some of these shows, and the VH-1 'Bands Reunited' show its based on - reunite bands/casts that split with a degree of acrimony from one or more members.
Still, I quite like JLC, and he's always very enthusiastic about these 'reunions'.

He's on a fine line between 'very enthusiastic' and 'annoying git' though at times ;)

I think the only reason I'll watch this is because of JLC, top Bristol boy:thumbs:

After Dallas he's doing Star Wars!

The only thing I want to bring back when I see Justin Lee Collins is National bloody Service.

Hanging maybe?
Hanging maybe?
Hanging's too good (sorry someone was going to say it)
What annoys me is that the whole thing is contrived. They could ring them all up and ask them all for interviews, but instead they do this fake thing where they ambush people to give you the impression that somehow they have to go to extraordinary lengths to talk to these people
I realise that it's more interesting but ultimately all you have is a show with slightly dull interviews of people who used to be famous. Ho hum
Great belittling of old hat "stars" - bring it on, it beats watching the 50th news programme that day.

the grange hill one was just daft, tons on the JLC chase of stars and then loads of people turn up at the reunion anyway,
its a show all about that annopying twerp and not much about the people who you are interested in.
The JLC as funny as ever but what a dire attendance at the end party
Well, he got ugly baby Christopher, so it worked out alright in the end. :D

I thought it was funny when he climbed over the gates.
I guess Knight Rider is next?

Really enjoyed watching this last night.
I think Justin Lee Collins is much funnier when he hasn't got Alan Carr alongside.
I was cringing when he climbed the gates and when he rushed passed the beauty parlour and hotel reception. I really thought that he was going to get himself shot or arrested.
I was a bit disappointed that all the cast members thought that they were above attending his party at the end, but fair play to Baby Christopher for showing up!
JLC cracks me up, think he is very amusing.
He has already done a magicians one which is being shown next year it think, where he learnt how to be a magician and do a show etc.
He is about to do a ventriloquist one as well, not sure when it will be shown though.
Not sure what "Bring Back..." he could do next. Knight Rider would be pretty crappy - chase after Hasselhoff and Kitt, what do fill the rest of the show with?
It needs to be a show with quite an ensemble cast.

There’s no way he didn’t arrange the Charlene Tilton one in advance. Very poor result at the end!
I thought this was really entertaining but then it would be with Linda Gray and Larry Hagman as they are real personalities.
Shame the end was a damp squib but then there probably never was a party anyway! Chances are these things are all prearranged and the actors are simply briefed that it will be on such and such a day and to act in this or that way to keep the shtick of the show intact!

Yeah, some of last nights 'hits' were a little contrived.
Mary Crosby sees a group of men scale her fence, so she goes to them on a horse rather than call the police? Larry Hagman just lets some stranger jump in his Golf Buggy with him? And of course, the beauty salon just letting a strange english bloke march in and start loooking in all the rooms?? :suspect:
At least Patrick Duffy asked for ID, and supposedly checked him out before letting him in. But, they had checked and been warned that Victoria Principal wouldn't be involved, so didn't even try.
However, I think last nights proved that the end reunion is all down to chance/luck, and that isn't as pre-arranged as maybe thought.

I really digged last night.
Baby Christopher and Kristin on horseback was simply priceless

Has he done any of these:
Dynasty
The Colbys
LA Law
The Dukes of Hazzard
Battlestar Galactica (the old one)
Hill Street Blues
St. Elsewhere
Happy Days
Taxi

^A Dukes of Hazzard One would be great, I would love that, However Star Wars is next isnt it, and is being shown at the end of the year I think. I know we havent really got rid of star Wars that long ago, but I suspect it would involve bringing back all the orginal actors from the old films, and not from the recent films.
Bring Back Dallas was pretty good, It was a shame that no one turned up for his party, except Ugly Baby christopher(How did he know where to turn up for the party though when they couldnt get in contact with him the entire show :suspect: ) Loved it when he jumped over the gate at kristin's House, I just laughed. Also thought the police was going to ambush him when they tryed to get JR,

Star Wars? LOL I bet they won't get the big stars.

Yep, probably all the usual suspects who do the 'convention' circuits anyway....i.e Kenny Baker, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, David Prowse.
While the likes of Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford & Carrie Fisher may do interviews for DVD extras and the like, I cannot see them giving much time to JLC, or turning up for a reunion just for a british TV show.

Dukes of Hazzard, I have to agree would be tops, although Uncle Jessie has passed away unfortunately.

A small confirmation about the Star Wars Bring Back
'Star Wars' gets the Justin Lee treatment

Justin Lee Collins is to present another in the Bring Back... series on Channel 4, this time attempting to reunite the cast of the original Star Wars films.
Following the success of the Dallas and A-Team versions, Collins will travel the US and the UK in a 90-minute special, which begins filming in the autumn.
Bring Back Star Wars will be produced and directed by Simon & Simon Media's Simon Tucker and Simon Urwin, in association with So Television, and Graham Stuart as executive producer.
No word on when it will be shown, but I'm sure I saw in another report, it will be shown at the end of this year, probably Late November/Early December time I guess

My vote goes to the original Star Trek. I know there has been a lot shows dedicated to this particular program, but, in my opinion there is always room for one more. Especially with the JLC point of view.

Ford will be on the Indy set - that should be interesting.

I'm not convinced the Star Wars one will work very well as a reunion, and the only ones that he may get to trun up will be the usual convention attendees.
I think the reason the Grange Hill one worked well, was that the cast are all just 'normal' people again - none of them are still in the public eye/media, and hence desperate for another bit of fame.
I just can't see the likes of Ford, Fisher or Hamill turining up for this reunion - especially if he holds it in the UK - and they are the main stars of the first three films. If it is held in the US, would the likes of Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew, Dave Prowse go over there just for this show? Unless channel 4 pay their fares, etc. But if that was the case, that would kind of kill the 'will they turn up or wont they'.
MJ
this gets more interesting all the time
