Isn't it just Ep 20? Is there a 21?

Isn't it just Ep 20? Is there a 21?

Episodes 19 and 20 aired back to back last night. There is no episode 21.

A fitting end harking back to the golden days of S1, when there was a noirish show pitting a cute petite blonde against the rich and powerful.

Its a bitter sweet send off reminding us of what this show could do, when it wasn't pretending to be a PSA or ignoring its core cast and its reason d'etre.

Go Pirates.

It was great. She was great! I'll miss her and the show!

Did anyone else think it was an abrupt ending though??

It still left a few things up in the air!!

Let's hope the FBI spin-off works out!

I'm incredibly sad. Just watched the last two.

Like was said before, the darker parts were immense. Logan losing it, Veronica again thinking she could fix everything herself with no consequences.

The weirdest thing tho was, for such a smart girl, what was her endgame when she stole the hard drive? How was it going to get revenge? Seemed an awful lot to risk for nothing....

Plus, the lasting image of Piz is going to be a mute. Did he speak in the last episode? Or maybe that was the point...

Superb last two episodes. Why couldn't they have done that storyline at the start of the season? So much potential left with The Castle. :(

I suppose they could've done 4 more episodes with it this season along with Keith Mar's story and the Election, plenty of material there. This ending although brilliant (back to its best) but I feel cheated !

Two really good episodes to end the series and no proper closure.

They couldn't have made it more painful if they'd tried. :(

I'm really going to miss this series. Bye Miss Mars.

So good. This season compared to 1+2 has been rubbish (still miles better than most telly tho) but the final episode was excellent.

The Kanes, Logan, Daddy Mars, Wallace, Weevil, Mac, Beaver, Dick, CW and of course Ronnie.

Great show, great series, great ending.

only seen e19 so far, great episode, glad Logan finally found his balls and smacked Piz about. I'm guessing Piz is dead or in a critical condition. also Dick should of gone through the thing with his dad earlier and dealing with his brother's death

shame the show is not coming back in FBI form, I really hope it does

Is it definitely cancelled?

Seems like an odd place to end, or maybe im just a sucker for happy endings on tv shows.

They were two better-than-average episodes, but nothing like a series finale. Shame.

really liked ep20, it does feel the castle storyline was cut down because the series 3 was shorten. good to see Logan back to the "i don't give a **** attitude" then the pussy whipped sap

Series 3 should of been - the dean's death and then the castle storyline as the Rapist storyline was terrible and the dull standalones helped to kill the show

I hope the new show gets off the ground as they just need Kirsten really (keith can turn up from time to time) (also the actor has a new show from what I've read)

Have only just started watching Season 3. I'm about 10 eps in and I can see why it was cancelled frankly. The rape storyline (kind of thing VM would have probably solved in one ep back in S1!) is just yawn-inducing compared to Lily Kane in S1 and a busload of dead schoolkids in S2 - they really should have upped the ante with an even bigger, more shocking crime in S3.

At this point I'm not even really all that interested in who murdered the dean.

Would be nice if it went out on a high tho in the next 10 eps I've got left to watch.

Just watched them and I thought they were both brilliant.

The Bitch Is Back was especially good - a fitting return to roots for the show which, despite the lingering plot threads, is a fitting end to the show.

We're essentially back to where we started - Keith has effectively been outed as sheriff, Veronica is being ridiculed again, Logan is violent again (yay!) and rich people are making Veronica's life a misery.

Let's now cross our fingers for a movie, TV movie, novel, comic book, radio play or SOMETHING!!!!

Hell, even a quick few notes from Rob Thomas would do fine. Problem is from recent interviews he seems very disheartened about the whole cancellation thing so might just decide to let Veronica rest in peace. :(

excellent episodes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got goosebumps when they revealed the painting of Lilly Kane

superb!

argh so frustrating, perhaps if the other stand alones had been this good the decision might have been different.

now we only have the long painful wait to see if CW wake up to themselves
and greenlight the FBI spin off.

Ditto... I was all... "Is it? YES it bloody is!!!!" I enjoyed it immensly.... and was left wondering why the Castle was soooooooo cut down as a story line at least they HINTED at the FBI thing with the whole Job Fair/Internship thing :)

I can't believe it's over

Great final two episodes, just a shame though that it left you thirsty for more & we aint gonna get any. Definitely the poorest of the three seasons, but still much better than the bulk of US telly has to offer.

Still disappointed with this season; I don't think this Castle story was that well handled. Veronica's plan was a bit rubbish, and she was content to let all of those crimes go unreported just so she could show she had the upper hand. (I know the confessions would have likely not been admissible as evidence, but surely she could have done something.)

The CW killed this a year ago. Frankly I'd rather there not be a season 4 if it's going to be more like #3 than #1 and #2. Mopey Piz, bland Parker, too much Logan, not enough Mac (except in soap opera scenes) and not enough Wallace (who occasionally looked like he was going to get interesting and start disliking Veronica as he saw how she often used him, but 'twas not to be). Dick and his dad reuniting was powerful and could have formed the basis of something bigger.

Rob Thomas is a whore!I liked that.

Damn shame it's all over. That was a great last episode, but really left me thinking (as many others here) - why didn't they do this story earlier?

Favourite moment for me was when Veronica walked into the cafeteria and everybody was staring at her. In my mind I though, "And she's back in high school again!" - then she said the exact same thing :)

If she had actually tried to report all those crimes, there would never have been a Season 4 anyway as Veronica would have ended up at Uncle Guido's lakeside log cabin as a unwilling guest.

Shame they canceled it, it really picked up from ep 15 onwards.

I was holding onto the last couple of eps for as long as I could, but finally cracked tonight. Really enjoyed them, and I really hope the comic book thing works out - just to give Rob Thomas some way of continuing and wrapping up the plot threads left hanging. Favourite moment: Logan's couldn't-care-less whupping of the guy in the cafeteria, and Veronica's little smile at him after.

That end scene felt strangely appropriate too, given the way the show was cancelled. Veronica alone, depressed, in the rain ... I just thought yup, that pretty much sums it up.

No idea, it was very random. Maybe it's just been shown on Living or something?

I bumped it basically cos I've been watching through it and was very disappointed that there was no more. I thought, given the tone of the thread, that the smiley was enough to explain my feelings, but obviously not!

I just finished watching it through, all three seasons from end to end. Fantastic show! I didn't notice that much of a dip during the third season, but definitely felt the ending was a little abrupt and another couple of episodes would have given us the happy ending we'd all prefer...

Any chance of a spin-off or movie, despite Ms Bell doing Heroes?

To me it was a huge drop off in quality until the final two episodes which returned to form. They should bring it back, hate that it's all over!
