View Full Version : Best paper for Laser Printer ?

This may seem a daft question.....

But, is not.

I'd like to have any advice about what would be the best paper to look for, for use in my new Samsung Laser printer.

One type of paper here curled a little with the heat, so I'm using some other thicker paper I had which seems ok.

However it's been around a while and would like to pop down PC World or Staples and get a nice fresh ream.

I want something that's really brilliant white, and smooth, does not suffer from paper curls etc, and takes toner well (solid Blacks.)

Anyone any suggestions as to something good to go with, I don't really want to buy a whole ream and find out it's pants.

Thanks for any thoughts.

I'd go for 90g plain paper...

A lot of paper has an arrow on the packet which tells you which side is best for printing on. Most people ignore it, don't if you want to get the best quality.

Thanks for advice guys.
I'm going to try a few sheets of what we use at work, and if seems good then will get myself a ream of the same stuff.

I had some paper that I thought was good but the toner was not staying on well, poss the surface was not smooth enough really.

The Kodak 90gsm stuff is very good with my inkjet printer. No idea what it would be like with a laser printer though, but it's pretty good quality stuff.

It was on offer at 6.99 a ream in PC World recently, aswell.

That's what I'd do. Might I suggest testing an entire ream from work just to make sure :D

Yes, that is a good idea, I'd need to be sure that it was 100% compatible on every sheet, I'd need to do thru them all to make sure.... :D
