Pet Shop Boys: Cubism - sees the most successful double act in British pop history take to the stage in support of their Grammy-nominated Fundamental album. Filmed on November 14th in Mexico City's Auditorio Nacionale, the boys run through a blistering live set, featuring a selection of their numerous Top 20 hits. Director David Barnard has shot the entire film in high definition, and sound engineer Bob Kraushaar has mixed the audio in 5.1 surround sound for an optimal audiovisual experience.

I thought exactly the same when I read it. Maybe it not worth their while releasing it on so many formats, oh well.

Definitely worth a purchase for the commentary and doc. Quite cheap at cd-wow, about £9.

Can't wait to see them at the Sage, its going to be fantastic.

Mine came on Saturday, it's pretty good although I'm not a fan of the stage set. Saw the show in Liverpool last year and going again to Manchester on Monday.

what is the quality of the live music like on this compared to the live cd that came out recently? thanks.( i wish that had come out on dvd to be honest).

The quality is fine for me, cracking in 5.1. Sounds a lot more like their records i think mainly due to most of the music being generated by computers and sequencers rather than live drums, orchestra etc. I would have liked the Concrete concert on DVD as well though.

Saw them at the Sage, Gateshead last night and they were fantastic. The sound was amazing in the auditorium, no echoes at all and the atmosphere was electric. Slight glitch when the computers crashed for a few mins before Home And Dry which gave Neil a few mins to talk to the crowd about their performance of Battleship Potemkin at the Swan Hunter Shipyard. They did an extra encore of Being Boring, unsure whether they will be doing this at all the shows. "About leaving Newcastle, and returning".

To everybody thats going, prepare to enjoy your selves.

I'm think of going to see the PSB at Newmarket Races, anyone know if they will be doing a theatrical show or is it just a normal gig ?

I think it will be a slimmed down version of their new show which again is a reworked version of the festival tour last year and is on the Cubism DVD.
