Someone else requiring a hack

I'm pretty sure there isn't one but i'll ask anyway...

Has anyone come across a hack for my Toshiba SD2109 or is it definately a chip job?

Also has anyone else got one of these that gives a high pitched squeal when it's been runnig for a while? It stops when you press stop.

Yep your right!.........there is no hack, you have to chip it, my sd2109 has no problems like you mention
