View Full Version : Dellamorte Dellamore
Howdy,
I seem to remember that Dellamorte Dellamore got rated quite highly on a 'Zombie Movies' thread aaaaagggggeeeeess ago. I've not heard about any planned US or UK releases but I do know that a new special edition that has been released in Italy by Medusa and I'm curious as to whether anyone could give judgement on the disc.
Also, could anybody recommend any Italian DVD e-tailers that ship to Blighty???
Ciao...
*Bump* 'cos I'm interested in this little gem.

The Italian Medusa edition of Dellamorte Dellamore is a peach - it boasts a very pleasing anamorphic transfer, stereo surround Italian and English audio tracks, and English subtitles. The English audio is my preferred option to hear the real Rupert Everett (who gives a career-best performance).
There is a commentary track from Michael Soavi, but no English subbies unfortunately. The short making-of feature is also not subbed but is still interesting.
I got my copy from ********* (as dvdfixxx), but www.dvd.it may be cheaper (I've picked up subsequent Italian releases from these people). There is also an Italian edition of "The Sect" available (English aduio-track), btu I believe a US edition is due this year.

I read somewhere that Dellamorte Dellamore will likely get a US release in the near future (prob bare-bones, though). I want it!
www.dvd.it does have the Italian release for sale, but it works out at EURO 32.56, or £21.65 which is rather expensive, but for this movie, worth it.
BTW, there is the German R2 'Red' edition on eBay for £12.99 [and free p&p] if you don't want to spend that much. Not my auction btw.
