Well, I have one other DVD by Filmax, (Los Sin Nombre) and that doesn't have forced subtitles if that helps. :)

roolku, I guess you ask about the enforced subtitles because of the German version? Which suffered from subtitles that you could actually switch off, but meant (as there were no english subs) that you had to watch the Sioux language bits in complete ignorance.

Looks a good three disc set, but the £30 price (+ P&P) is quite steep. In contrast the two disc set with Dir Cut and Short (3 hour!) version (with English Subs) at £9 + P&P seems a steal. Admittedly the P+P adds another 11.50 Euros.

Dagnammit, ordered the 2 disc set. Should be here by the W/E.

huh? Anamorphic widescreen 2.35:1 DTS5.1 & DD5.1 + Commentary, Trailer, Making Of and Kevin Cosner profile. All on one disc, where? R2!

and believe the picture quality is quite good. not perfect but considering what they put in it it's quite incredable!

Thanks for all the comments.

The Boogerman: AFAIK the dutch and the german version have subtitles that can not be switched off. (I actually have the german and the tricks for the french 'Name of the Rose' and the spanish 'Blood Simple' didn't work. :( ) If you can tell me how to do it, I would be grateful for the money saved, as I also have the old R1.

Also could you tell me what the two disk set is like when you get it as I assume the actual DVDs will be the same as in the 3 disk.

Roberto: I know of the R2, but really want the 4hour cut.

Cheers
