Does anybody know how the transfer quality of the R0 version (that was available from EzyDVD for a fiver delivered) compares with the new R2?

Well not sure but I have just received my r2 version and I am very disappointed with the quality of the print that has been used it looks something like channel 5 might put out
As was the case with Citizen Kane r2 was awful now have the r1 se it’s superb.

I also must suggest you get the Criterion DVD of the Third Man - it's another fine Criterion effort and the transfer is immaculate.

Get the cheapo version from EzyDVD only if you've never seen the film (once you've seen it, you'll want the Criterion).
