I got this the other day, and it's luscious. The packaging, the job they've done on the picture and sound (check that dts... cor blimey). The menus, the extras... it's flawless.
Except.
In one of the extras on the final disc, Introduction to David Lynch, the game is given away somewhat. It's a really good feature, with actors and collaborators telling stories about working with Lynch, but at the end a film professor talks about the theme of the Twin Peaks series while a scene plays... the juxtaposition of these two elements basically spoils one of the big surprises of the whole story. Of course, Twin Peaks is so dense and bewildering that no one revelation undoes all the work, but this one is a biggie...
Maybe it could be argued that anyone forking out thirty quid for the set will already know, but that's not really the point. If I hadn't known, i would have been severely **** off.
Surely the people compiling the disc could have saved this 10 second soundbite for the last disc of the second series? Bah.
