Mini DV tapes

Any particular brand favourable for reliability and quality or are they all pretty much of a muchness?
Any preferred supplier as well ?

Always used JVC DV 60's at work and had few complaints. Then again quality really ain't an issue for us as we scale down for the web.

I always use Panasonic, although I don't suppose there's much of a difference, although I have been told not to mix tapes, without first cleaning the heads between brand changes and ideally always use the same brand. Something to do with different technologies for tape lubricant.

As I got a good price on a job lot of 150 tapes, I'm not likely to change brands any time soon.

I've mainly used panasonics on a panasonic machine, the only time I've had any problems was when I tried a sony tape. So the comment about cleaning heads may be true.
