These are tricky little blighters to shoot.
Weather was naf this afternoon, raining, blowing a hooley and just plain nasty.
Ideal weather for the kite surfers in Morecambe bay, plus a chance to try out the sigma 100-300F4 ive rented.
Due to the conditions and the rain coming in from the west, i could park up and open a window and shoot from inside the car.

Pretty impressed with the lens, needs a monopod though, not enough room in my car to use the monopod.

Would have been better in the wifes CR-V, could have set up in the boot no problem with a monopod.

As for lens, very nice and very quick on the focus.

How about using a beanbag over the window/door frame of the car - should cushion the lens and provide something you can brace against.

Looks cold!

I've often wondered about these and how well they would work in the situation you were in - they look good...
